Sweeps and kicks, short sticks and long staffs, partner sparring, and hitting pads–these are just a few of the martial arts classes you can choose from. At this year’s conference, practitioners of every rank and art will learn something new and have fun doing it. Whether you’re training for competition or personal performance or hoping to gather a team or start a class of your own, you won’t want to miss these sessions.
We Persist NWMAF 2021 Conference will feature numerous Empowerment Self-Defense (ESD) offerings for self-defense instructors and those interested in certification and also welcomes self-defense students, martial artists, and healing arts practitioners to any and all of the ESD sessions. This year the Model Course (required for NWMAF Self-Defense Instructor certification) will consist of an ESD Model Workshop and debriefing session offered on July 18 plus three additional programs that participants can choose from an array of programs offered over the course of the We Persist conference.
From sore muscles to childhood trauma, we all need healing. NWMAF members practice tai chi, yoga, traditional Chinese medicine, and more! This year we are pleased to offer classes in yoga and mindfulness, tension and stress release, qi gong, meditation and fear, and body alignment.
Classes and social activities are designed especially for youth (age 6+) and teens. We are excited to welcome the next generation of NWMAF!
